The Packing Station, an optional module available with Byte Software's Customer Order Processing (COP) software, allows your shipping and distribution personnel to scan SKUs into individual cases for maximum real-time shipping accuracy. The Packing Station can initiate automatic creation of all shipping documents, invoice, and Advanced Ship Notice (ASN) for EDI. In addition, it automatically updates finished goods inventory, to ensure the highest level of inventory accuracy.

    FLEXIBLE SHIPPING OPTIONS

  • Allocate orders to generate picking tickets. Scan the pick ticket to bring up the order on screen.
  • Each Packing Station will be equipped with a thermal printer for printing case labels. When the case is finished being packed, the system will automatically print out the correct custom case label.
  • Each Packing Station can also be equipped with a weigh scale. When a case is finished being packed, the system will automatically calculate the weight and compare it to a standard weight table; or weigh cases as a separate operation all together.
  • Leave a partially packed case for later completion.
  • Add a case to an existing shipment or create a new shipment.
  • Set ship dates for each shipment as needed - even leave the ship date open.
    POWERFUL AUTOMATED FUNCTIONS
    The Packing Station provides numerous automated functions to help you increase the efficiency of your shipping operations:

  • Automatic weight calculation. Weigh scale interface for automatic weight calculations- calibration settings are set with a push of a button.
  • Automatic freight charge calculation. Built-in freight shipping zone tables calculate freight charges instantly.
  • Automatic creation of ASNs and other shipping documents. All shipping documents are created automatically, including bar code case labels, packing slips, bills of lading, invoices, and ASNs.
  • Automatic inventory updating: Works along with Byte Software's Customer Order Processing (COP) module by automatically updating finished goods inventory.
